This beautifully produced series of maritime art - Windjammer Lithographs from Richard Linton's original pencil sketches are printed in two colours on high quality heavy weight archival paper, giving a rich sepia tone.
The series consists of the following windjammers:
Falie is a steel ketch built in 1919 by W. Richter Uitenbogaardt, Massaluis, Netherlands. Her length is 118 feet and her breadth is 21 feet.
Purchased in 1922 by Spencer's Gulf Transport Company, renamed Falie and sailed to Australia. She voyaged mainly in South Eastern Australian waters until 1982 except for a period 1940 - 1945 when as HMAS Falie she was operated by the Royal Australian Navy in Sydney and New Guinea waters.
Fully restored between 1983 and 1986 she is maintained at Port Adelaide by Falie Project Limited.
