Bay Street, Frankston 1912
This painting of Bay Street (now Nepean Highway), is looking north from Davey Street, Frankston. The building on the extreme right is the original Post Office.
The next building opposite is the Bayview Hotel, now the site of the Grand Hotel. The Pier Hotel is on the left. Frankston at this time was a small village and Richard Linton's painting captures the quiet atmosphere of the town's unhurried life style.
Richard Linton's painting based on early photographs brings back the charm and atmosphere of a bygone era.
This lithograph is available and is printed on heavy weight quality Archival paper using colour fast inks.
These lithographs are strictly limited to 700 copies worldwide and upon their printing all production plates were destroyed.
Image size 56 cm x 33 cm.
